Empowering Islamic Boarding Schools Through Business Programs: Growing the Spirit of Entrepreneurship and Independence of Santri in West Bandung Regency

This article discusses the business empowerment program for 16 on Islamic Boarding Schools (Ponpes) in West Bandung Regency (KBB) initiated by the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) KBB. This program aims to foster independence and entrepreneurial spirit among ponpes managers and their students. Business capital assistance of IDR 10 million per pound is provided to support businesses such as sheep, chickens, and culinary. This program is complemented by mentoring for six months to ensure the success of the business and its benefits for the pesantren environment. This article also discusses the requirements for joining this program and future program sustainability plans. The business empowerment program for 16 Islamic Boarding Schools (Ponpes) in West Bandung Regency (KBB) was initiated by the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) KBB with the aim of fostering independence and entrepreneurial spirit among ponpes managers and their students. Business capital assistance of IDR 10 million per pound was distributed to support sheep, chicken, and culinary businesses, and was accompanied by assistance for six months. This article also discusses the requirements of this program and future sustainability plans. The program aims to improve economic and social welfare in the Islamic boarding school community and strengthen financial inclusion among Islamic boarding schools and surrounding communities.
